About us

ARCO is an architecture studio founded in 2020, working across private residential, mixed-use and urban-scale projects in the UK and internationally. The practice operates with a clear interest in architecture as both a cultural and technical discipline, shaped through iterative design, close engagement with clients and stakeholders and a careful reading of site.

The studio is led by Timothy Culverhouse, whose formative experience was shaped over a decade working with Sir Peter Cook on design and research-led projects in the UK and abroad, as well as within consultancy roles for large-scale developments. These works established an approach grounded in architectural speculation, formal intelligence and the productive tension between concept and delivery.

Alongside practice, Timothy has contributed to architectural education through teaching, reinforcing an ongoing commitment to critical enquiry and architectural discourse. He is a UK-registered architect (ARB) and a Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
